LUCIANA AVILA
President
Luciana is a Drummer and Pianist from Bogota, Colombia. She started playing the piano at the age of 5 and took up an interest for the percussion path since she was 11 and started her studies as a Drummer; from a young age, Luciana has been surrounded by the musical atmosphere. She studied almost all her childhood at the Pontifical Xaverian University youth program of music, in Bogota, Colombia, as well as with different private instructors. She was part of the assemble of several events and concerts in her hometown, both as an artist and as part of the logistics and management team, as well as served as marketing and external affairs director of the Model United Nations (MUN) at her school (The English School). In 2018 Luciana was granted a merit-based scholarship to attend to Berklee College of Music, where she is currently majoring in Music Business Management and Music Production & Engineering. Luciana has worked with artists and representative of the industry ranging from the well-known Peruvian Latin Grammy Award Winner Tony Succar, the Colombian band Morat, the Colombian Grammy and Latin Grammy winner Juanes, as well as interned in the Entertainment and branding company Magnus Media. Luciana’s goals are to help and boost the Latin Music Industry as best as she can and become an A&R. Artist Manager and/or Music Engineer in the near future. Today, Luciana continues her studies as a Senior of Berklee College and President of the Latin American Association of Berklee Students.
CARLOS FABRÉ
Co-President
Carlos is a bass player from the Dominican Republic. He started his interest in the music industry when he was around 10 years old and took up an interest in playing guitar from a very young age. Years later, Carlos decided to switch to playing bass guitar since then. He is currently pursuing his Bachelor’s in Music Business/Management and was granted the 2017 Michael Camilo Full-tuition Scholarship to attend Berklee College of Music. Carlos has worked with artists and producers ranging from the well-known, Peruvian Latin Grammy Award Winner and producer Tony Succar, he has opened shows for the well-known Venezuelan Latin Grammy Award Winner and singer Oscar D’Leon, the Colombian Latin Grammy Award Winner and singer-songwriter Santiago Cruz. Not to mention that he has had the opportunity to perform with many bands around the United States and the Dominican Republic. Carlos has had the incredible opportunity to be the Road Manager and Manager Assistant of one of the most-booked wedding bands in the Dominican Republic, Alto Contraste. Carlos’s goals are to help the artists and executives he encounters as best as he can and his career goal is to become a Tour Musician, Production Manager, and/or Road Manager in the near future. Carlos is the Co-President of the Latin American Association of Berklee Students.


RICKY MATUTE
Musical Director
Ricky Matute is a percussionist and composer from Barranquilla, Colombia. He is currently studiyng Film Scoring and Contemporary Writing & Production at Berklee College of Music
after receiving a full tuition scholarship from the college and being the recipient of the 100.000USD Gifted Tuition Scholarship given by the Latin Grammy Cultural Foundation. He has extensive experience as a percussionist in different genres and has played in venues and events around Latin America and the United States such as
Latin Grammys’ Person of the Year Gala 2019 (Las Vegas, NV), Lincoln Center (NY), Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts (Washington, DC) and Barranquijazz Festival (Colombia). In addition to this, he was invited as an artist to the Cordoba Drum Camp (Córdoba, Argentina) to teach a master class about Colombian percussion instruments and rhythms.
DANIELLA RAVELO
Director of Marketing
Daniella Ravelo is a Venezuelan singer from Caracas currently pursuing her Bachelor’s Degree at Berklee College of Music. She began her musical journey with singing lessons at only 7 years old and continued to explore her artistry by gaining experience in the musical theater world and performing in one of the most important venues of the country, Teatro Teresa Carreño. While staying true to her Latin American roots, Ravelo continues to expand her musicianship and vocal ability across a variety of genres like R&B, folk, jazz, and many others, with the purpose of becoming an artist who is recognized by her versatility and authenticity.


ALESSANDRA AGUIRRE
Director or Outreach
Alessandra Aguirre is a 20 year old singer/songwriter from Perú. She started singing since the age of 4 and since then, music has been a major part of her life. She has had the opportunity to be the opening act for bands such as; “Bacilos” and “Lil Silvio y el Vega”. She has performed in a series of venues in Perú and is now majoring in Music Business and Music Production.
Alessandra is our new director of Outreach where she will be working to make LABS reach a bigger audience and create bonds with the worlds Music industry.
GUIDIAN SHTURMAN
Co-Musical Director
Born and raised in Mexico City, Mexico, Guidian Shturman Waiss began learning to play music at the young age of three. At 4, he started playing and performing the cello with his school’s orchestra and string ensemble. When he turned 13, he started learning the oboe.
Soon after, he auditioned to the Orquésta Sinfónica Esperanza Azteca Kol Shalom and as a founding member, got the Oboe First Chair position. He acted as an arranger and assistant conductor for the orchestra. He then founded the Kol Shalom Chamber Orchestra where he acted as Music Director, Conductor and Arranger.
He was accepted to the Berklee College of Music with a merit-based scholarship. He is currently a dual major in Film Scoring and Contemporary Writing and Production, with a minor in Conducting and another in Video Game Scoring. He is the director and conductor for the Audire Soundtrack Choir and Orchestra and has produced and composed for events such as the Northeastern University’s Holocaust Commemoration 2018 event, the Exposicion de Desaparecidos in the Museo Memoria y Tolerancia in Mexico City, and for the Ecos Humanitarios Podcast, among others.
He has also arranged for multiple Berklee Concerts including the Singers Showcase: Tina Turner—Simply the Best, I'm Still Standing—The Music of Elton John, The Stevie Wonder BPC Tribute, Idolos Latinos 2022, etc. and has produced, directed and arranged for concerts such as The International Showcase Caf Show, Hasta la Vista, Berklee—by Auro and others.


ALEX ALVARADO
Secretary
Passionate and music lover since age of 12 years, Alex Alvarado is a Mexican guitarist, composer and producer, with a degree in Music Performance at Music City College and studying a double major in Contemporary Writing and Production and Guitar Performance at Berklee College of Music.
Alex Alvarado has played in multiple cultural festivals around Mexico with the band named FØLY playing electric guitar and singing with this band.
Alex believes that Latin Music has all the potential to reach any part of the world, which is why he is inclined to write and produce ballads, latin pop, boleros and traditional Mexican music.
